Jesus: The Way to the Father and the Spirit

Pastor’s Note:  In John’s 14^th chapter, he begins to lay out the promises Jesus made to His own.  We see an assumption of the triune nature of God with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit each emphasized along with different elements of their roles especially as it relates to the believer.  The two major promises in chapter 14 have historical significance concerning Jesus preparing the Apostles for His impending crucifixion.  However, the Holy Spirit directed John to write this to establish a basis for promises to future generations of believers including us today.
