Con artists adapt to technology as quickly as it comes out. In 2018 $423 million was grabbed by scammers in wire transfers alone. Don’t think of it as something to which only older adults fall victim; it was nearly three times as prevalent among young adults (in their twenties) as those in their seventies!*
