How Can This Be?

Most Christians will, sooner or later, find themselves in such dire straits, desperate situations, or emotional trauma that they are at least tempted to wonder “where is God in this?”  Like Mary when Gabriel told her she would give birth the promised Messiah, we wonder at times, “How Can This Be?”  Psalm 89 captures that that bewilderment regarding God’s covenant with David and seeming lack of fulfillment, offering a solution for those who will choose it.
