Praying for Change
November 28, 2021
A break from Leviticus to consider a Presidential Proclamation acknowledging that God was “dealing with us in anger for our sins” and calling “my fellow citizens in every part of the United States” to “with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience… fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand…” What could excel the “national perverseness” of 63 million Americans systematically eliminated since 1973 at the hands of corporate killers profiting off mothers who’ve been convinced they have no choice but to end a baby’s life? That should bother Christians! What can we do? Is there more than “Praying for Change” (Mk. 9:16-29)?
